![]() ![]() Honestly sometimes I don't bother with walls till much much later, and no I don't lose cities left and right. My next assumption would be to get either Shrine or Laboratory, inclined towards Laboratory based on the current Mana demands, and the potential for Observatory to increase the domain. Is it then right to grind out a siege workshop? I don't think I ever bother to do it immediately. if for example it takes 4 turns for each of them, and it wont expand within those, is it still better to have 3 turns of the +250 pop while working on the builders hall than having the +20 prod and get the store house out faster, maybe only missing a turn or 2 of the +250? I'm leaning towards the builders hall being correct since to be a village it needs 3K pop, when it turns it only gains +5 prod, while the builders hall essentially doubles production capacity in an empty domain. Rich domains I tend to go for production first, thinking that it has what it needs at the moment. Generally I rush either Store House or Builders hall, the distinguishing factor is how long it has till the next level up, and what is in the domain. I know there is no cure all, but im looking at being a more aggressive player so I want to be more efficient. So the assumption is that I know nothing of the enemy, and have completely average city domains. You will be pleased with the results.I know that this game has a lot more variables in what you build when, but I want to get better so i'm looking at clarification on city add on priorities and such. Select build ROAD, and try to build the road over the river. Suggest following MrNo's pts with a builder that has full movement points left, positioned next to the river where you intend to build the bridge. That's really difficult to do though.Īll of the above ANSXx the builder unit must have sufficient movement points left given the terrian. Iirc, if you can get a builder with lava walking, then you can build bridges over lava. Might also be true for wetlands or forests, been a while since I tried it. Neither side can be mountainous terrain. The bridge must go *straight* across the water. The bridge must connect to land on both sides. You cannot build a bridge next to another bridge (this means bridges must be length 1) With seafaring, this will be a valid option without it'll just path around. ![]() Take a builder, and instruct it to build a road across water. ![]() Originally posted by MrNo:Seafaring must be researched. ![]()
